The film Scarabus (1971) by Gérald Frydman was restored in 2025 by the Royal Film Archive of Belgium – CINEMATEK, with the help of Belspo and the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, and thanks to the National Lottery players.
The work was carried out based on 35 mm negatives preserved in the collection of the Royal Film Archive of Belgium, where the film was digitised in 4K.
The restoration of this film by the Royal Film Archive of Belgium – CINEMATEK was made possible with the help of Belspo – the Belgian Science Policy Office, and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, and thanks to the support of National Lottery players.
